Got started in photography when I was just a young whipper snapper back in 1974. I was in the Air Force and got an assignment to Guam. I re-enlisted while I was there and used some of the bonus to buy my first 35mm film camera, a Pentax Spotmatic II. For the next 5 or 6 years, I dabbled in landscape, portrait and wedding photography. Spent a while as a freelancer during my 17 month stay in Avon Park, Florida. In 1982, after I returned from Turkey, I kinda lost interest in doing anything meaningful with my photography. Then last year, I had a friend of mine get my interest up, and I bought a Pentax *ist D and a Sigma 28-80mm and a 70-300mm. My love for photograpy was kindled again. I sold the Pentax gear and bought a Canon 20D. All of my free time is spent taking nature and landscape photos. My current gear is a Canon 40D, 1D Mark IIN, 500mm f/4, 300mm f/4, 70-200mm f/4, Sigma 180mm macro, Sigma 12-24mm .
